Christine Vihishima, Nigeria
I am a visionary community and global leader passionate about quality and equitable access to education (SDG 4), youth coaching/mentoring, entrepreneurship and community service. I am currently studying at the Nigerian Law School, a graduate of Law from the American University of Nigeria, Yola, former President of the Law Students Society AUN, and Miss AUN (2018/19). I am the Executive Director of Thinking Cap Literacy Initiative, an NGO aimed at rolling back illiteracy among Nigerian children using creative methods. I am a serial volunteer and changemaker, having piloted numerous community projects in my 10 years of community service engagement.
TCLI stands for Thinking Cap Literacy Initiative. It is a free community library and educational resource center for underprivileged children to have access to books and other educational resources to aid their learning. It will also have a reading clinic to tutor those who do not know how to read. It is located in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria.
