Leadership coaching for the Sustainable Development Goals
WYSE Global Change Makers: Leadership Coaching for the Sustainable Development Goals is an exciting and unique opportunity to enhance your leadership skills in service of your community. Successful applicants will participate in a free, bespoke, coaching programme with a world-class leadership professional. Your leadership coach will support you as you lead a project which positively benefits your community.
Over the course of 9 months you will attend an onboarding session, receive 6 one-on-one coaching sessions and attend a celebration event. WYSE will also provide six 5 minute videos (one per month) with worksheets and provocations and a diary form for you to complete prior to your coaching sessions. Our coaches are all experienced coaches and work either as a leadership coach or as a leader who has integrated coaching in their leadership style. Many of them have been working with WYSE for many years as an alumni, faculty member or as a coach. In addition to the coaching sessions, you will access our global community.
During the programme your coach will support you to reflect on your project, identify and work towards goals, create learning that benefits you and your project. You will be supported to set goals, identify and work through challenges, manage your time and increase your overall effectiveness, influence and impact. The programme will help you to stay connected to your sense of purpose and motivation, as you navigate the real world challenges necessary to turn your vision into reality.

The programme is open to people 18 - 35 years old, committed to making a positive contribution in their community and have a project, or an idea for a project, which contributes towards these UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. We are currently supporting people working on goals 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11 and 13.
What will I get from the programme?
Over the course of a year, you will have a monthly one-to-one coaching session with a professional leadership coach. Our coaches are all experienced coaches and work either as a leadership coach or as a leader who has integrated coaching in their leadership style. Many of them have been working with WYSE for many years as an alumni, faculty member or as a coach.
In addition to the coaching sessions, you take part in 10 leadership workshops and access our global community. During the programme your coach will support you to reflect on your project, identify and work towards goals, create learning that benefits you and your project.
Growth
Your project is underway, but you want to develop its effectiveness and sustainability.
We will help you to reflect on the early successes and development areas of your project so far, (re)align with your sense of purpose and vision, set goals, identify and overcome obstacles and develop the skills and confidence needed to take your project to the next level.
Expansion
You have an established project, but you want to expand its reach, scope or effectiveness.
We will help you to evaluate your project’s impact so far, reflect on the context in which your project exists and what needs you are seeking to address, connect with your sense of vision and purpose, identify and overcome barriers and enhance the resourcefulness, resilience and self-awareness needed to expand your project.

My name is Viwe Bonga, I have so much devotion for community development and Youth empowerment. I work with leadership programs and community development programs for which one of them I co founded and currently assume a position of a managing director. The program is a non-profit community based program that was founded by Young people around the Phillipi catchment area. The program provides intensive academic tutoring and personal development sessions to motivated grade 8 and 9 high school learners at under-resourced schools in the Phillipi catchment area.
My name is Sylvia Kenda, a community worker currently based in Spur Afrika Kibera. I am a strategic partnership and development coordinator with the aim of using my skills to bring partners to assist in growing the organization's capacity. My main interest is being able to offer hope by facilitating school fees for children and youth who are unable to support themselves and skills to empower women and youth who may not feel comfortable to go back to school.
I'm Offa, a teacher with a passion for transforming young minds in Nigeria. For years, I've been crafting engaging learning experiences for kids aged 3 to 9, turning content-heavy lessons into hands-on projects that spark curiosity and critical thinking. My main goal is to enrich learning for children across Nigeria by training teachers to develop the knowledge and skill to nurture the whole child.
Neville Bezzina is an experienced writer, marketer, adult educator, and entrepreneur with a keen interest in the intersections between technology, psychology and self-improvement. QuayCards is meant to address a gap in the self-education space for those who need to grasp key concepts quickly without using books or internet-connected devices. The goal is to make important concepts accessible and practical for everyone, regardless of their ability to engage with or access traditional or digital education.
I'm Muskan Ahirwar, a 12th-grade humanities student. In 2016, I started Kitabi Masti with 121 books outside my home, now a library of 2100+ books. It's a study hub and community space in Bhopal's Durga Nagar, a low income neighborhood. Open daily, we offer tutoring, support for at-risk students, and school supply distribution. My efforts earned national and international recognition, including awards from Niti Ayog, Princess Diana, and the UN.
I have worked in 3 different hospitals including a Tribal hospital, and flood relief missions which have helped me develop a more holistic idea of emergency medicine and health care in general. I hope to help quality of medical education in India by using Quality Medical education as a hook to bring in principles of leadership and coaching to help medical professionals make balanced career decisions and bring kindness to themselves and their colleagues.

Her mission is to raise children in low-income communities as young leaders who can use the academic concepts they learn in class to solve the pressing problems in their communities. Alain Ndonghoh is a dependable teacher at GBHS Tibati with 2 years successful teaching experience at 7th, 8th, and 9th grades. At New African Builders (NAB) Hub we instill the principles of problem solving and the fundamentals of building sustainable communities in youths through experiential education.

Eradicating Illiteracy and Promoting Lifelong Education (EIPLE) is an independent project led by Noragbai P Naimah that addresses issues of illiteracy and gender inequality in education through advocacies, awareness, and literacy and numeracy training.
I am a chemical engineer and a development professional in my area of work. Somaiya KalaVidya offers design and business education for artisans using an approach based on honoring and incorporating existing traditions and teaching a spectrum of others about rural traditions. We have had over 200 graduates from the course so far.
I am a master's student at Vilnius University. Catalyst 2030’s primary mission is to support Ukrainian social entrepreneurs during the war and help in post-war development. What Works is a comprehensive approach which addresses the needs of survivors of gender-based violence, including intimate partner violence and sexual exploitation, as well as harassment and abuse, while also focusing on preventing intimate partner violence.

Millions of people living in rural and urban Sierra Leone rely on water wells or boreholes for their daily water needs. The general objective of this project is to provide fifty boreholes to schools, hospitals, Orphanage homes, and deprived communities in five districts with safe drinking water. This project will help to enhance the lives of the people living in these areas, thus uplifting their standards of living through pure, dignified, and safe drinking water.

Participatory Rural Development Society serves the vulnerable communities and poverty-stricken people and Afghan Refugees in remote and neglected areas, the organization has assisted more than 1.2 million vulnerable beneficiaries and successfully completed 49 projects of humanitarian relief and development across Pakistan.
Dr. Aneeba Rashid, an environmental scientist and educator based in Lahore, Pakistan, specializes in bioremediation and wastewater treatment. The purpose of this project is to clean up wastewater (thrown in combined drainage due to poor sanitation) so that it can be used again in nearby areas in Pakistan's Punjab region for crop irrigation. By putting in place cutting-edge biological treatment systems, we turn wastewater into a useful resource that supports local farmers' livelihoods, conserves freshwater, and advances sustainable agriculture.

Empowering Youth for Sustainable Development in North East Nigeria is a project is to empower youth in rural communities with the skills, knowledge, and resources to actively contribute to the achievement of the UN's 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
I am the Chief Executive Officer of Freetown Innovation Lab which uses scrap yard materials to develop windmill and solar systems that supply electricity to rural communities and water through the irrigation system that solve electricity and poor water access in farms to enhance continual production and increase food production.
