Olayemi is the Head, Minigrids for Husk Power Systems Nigeria. She is an Electrical Engineering with experience working in the Energy and FMCG sectors. She has a knack for an impact driven life with ensuring business profitability, sustainability and efficiency. She is actively involved in the energy space in Nigeria as she leads the minigrid team to oversee deployment and operations of minigrids in rural areas in Nigeria, causing transformation in economies and socio cultural behaviours due to introduction of power supply. She also has an NGO called "Adopt a child" that connects underprivileged children to financial sponsors.
More than half of the children in rural areas don’t have access to quality education, this is a gap “Adopt a child” has chosen to fill. Adoptachild.ng is an initiative aimed at ensuring not-so-privileged children have quality education by connecting them with financial sponsors around the world, who in turn become mentors to these children. The target is to have sponsored ten thousand children by 2030.
