Juliana Gaertner, Germany living in UK
Juliana is an investigative researcher focused on climate justice. As Senior Strategist at nonprofit ARIA, she scrutinizes power, politics and corporate accountability in the transition away from fossil fuels. She has worked with communities, researchers and governments around the world to shape progressive climate policy. Most recently, she was the Environmentalist in Residence at the British Library, worked with the international human rights organisation Global Witness, and advised the directors of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. She holds an MPhil in Environmental Policy from Oxford University.
This project aims to systematically scrutinize key structures and actors working to undermine just climate action in Europe to create more long-term transparency and accountability in this space.
